This is for the VX version but the same pretty much applies to the XP version.

using chain commands with tools

click to embiggen

  1. Port over the script (placing it with the other XAS add-ons is fine)
  2. Port over the following graphics into your Windowskins folder:
    Chain_Command
    Chain_Layout
    Chain_Timer_Layout
    Chain_Timer_Meter
    Cursor (already included in XAS v3.9)
  3. Go to the Chain Commands script and search for the following line of code: CHAIN_ACTION_COMMAND

    FORMAT: A=> ["B","B","B", ...]

    A = TOOL ID
    B = Commands:
    Up / Down / Left / Right / C / D / S / A / Z / X / Q / W

44=>["X","Right","Left","C","Z","X","X","X","Left","Right"]

Means the hero will have to complete this chain of commands to use the Chidori overdrive (TOOL ID = 44).

Note: If you fail to complete the command your overdrive bar is emptied.

    Chris believes I did it in the project, only that I did in various parts inside the overdrive? Wow, now I understand what’s the point ID Command rsrs’
    Thanks man, the video will really help a lot of people. Calvin, already solved my question!

    I made a video tutorial, seeing as how some people might find it useful. Here is the link if anyone would like to see:

    Ohhhh, on screenshot, “44″ is ACTION TOOL? Oh man, lol’
    I went to see now xD
    If so, just tell me why when I open the “box” time flies and a question mark appears in the middle column of the Chain.

    Another thing that could have on the blog, was a FAQ Thanks!

    So is the use of XAS 3.9, of course. Tested in 3.91 and ran without XAS bug commands XAS. I think you should launch a XAS 3.92 already in that role, and some suggestions that can arise during the period. If you want I can give some suggestions which I tried for in my game, but I think only you could. Thanks for resolving my doubts, I downloaded the scripts from 3.91 to 3.9 and my work. Just did not understand until now how to use the command of XAS in this script, CHAIN_COMMAND. Up!

    I think I know … In XAS 3.9 does not have the Yan Keyboard, and I use my keyboard script. I’ve done several systems with my keyboard, and I think the mog utilizes load of the Yan … I have lost hope … lol ‘

    • Calvin624 says:

      Hey Pozinho,

      The Yan Keyboard input is a separate add-on, it is not needed to run this script – perhaps it’s incompatible with some of the scripts you’re using.

  6. Pozinho says:

    Yeah, i use “XAS 3.9″. You post the 3.91 later rsrs’

  7. Pozinho says:

    Oh, jajaja… This script bug my xas :/
    I use any command on the XAS with this script, and got error on script XAS – Tool. Argument error 3×2…
    A problem :/

    • Calvin624 says:

      Works great for me Pozinho. Are you using v3.91?

      I’ve added a screenshot to the original post.

  8. Pozinho says:

    Oh Calvin, this is perfect… Congratulations Mog, you are incredible, fantastic… I need this script very much, thanks man, thanks. I will test, see ya!

  9. Chris says:

    Quite an interesting add-on for XAS. It makes techniques that much more in depth.

  10. Calvin624 says:

    I reckon it might be (at least in the XP version) – look at CHAIN_ACTION_COMMAND.

    I’ll give it a go and maybe update the original post with a short walkthrough.

    It would be really cool if that was compatible for battle. Maybe with some creativity, I can come up with a way to open that during battle. Hm..
